Vortex Unit is a metal band based in Bratislava, Slovakia. It was founded in 2011 by Siren and ex-members of The Crypt, a black/death metal act, after ending its fifteen years of existence.

Inspired mostly by various black/death metal and symphonic influences, their first releases were an EP named Nec Plus Ultra, released in 2014 and later 2016's single Enlightenment. The band underwent several changes in members, now consisting of Siren (vocals), Anguis (guitar, vocals), Pekka (guitar), Lucas Thin (bass) and Tuky (drums). Their latest work, a full length album The Bringer of Sun, released in 2020 consists of aggressive, yet fluent material, united into a whole story.

Vortex Unit je Slovenská metalová kapela z Bratislavy. Bola založená v roku 2011 speváčkou Siren a bývalými členmi kapely The Crypt, black/death metalovým počinom, po ukončení jeho pätnásťročnej existencie.

V začiatkoch pre nich boli inšpiráciou black/death metalové a symfonické vplyvy. Ako prvé vydali EP s menom Nec Plus Ultra v roku 2014, neskôr prišiel singel Enlightenment v roku 2016. Kapela prešla viacerými zmenami v osadenstve, dnes sú členmi kapely Siren (spev), Anguis (gitara, spev), Pekka (gitara), Lucas Thin (basgitara) a Tuky (bicie). Ich najnovšia práca, koncepčný album The Bringer of Sun (2020), obsahuje agresívny, no plynulý hudobný obnos, ktorý sa zlieva do rozsiahleho a celistvého príbehu.

After nine years of existence, Slovak extreme metal band Vortex Unit releases their debut full-length album, The Bringer of Sun. It is a conceptual work, which binds both musical and lyrical aspects together into an exciting story. Brutal and melodic elements unite in a powerful composition that goes full throttle from the beginning to the end.

Po deviatich rokoch existencie Slovenská metalová kapela Vortex Unit vydáva svoj debutový hudobný album, The Bringer of Sun. V tejto koncepčnej práci sa snúbi lyrická stránka s hudobným umením, spolu vytvárajúc napínavý príbeh. Brutálne a melodické zložky sú prepletené v masívnej kompozícii, ktorá sa ženie od začiatku do konca na plné obrátky.
